Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to continue building upon her triumph during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. Ladd went back to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia dominated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous decision, putting the mark of a loss on Aspen's record for amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career as a pro. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via one-round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 was her first bout in the Bantamweight division. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via third round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd did not weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO during the second round. In her next fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd won the fight at the start of round one, and was awarded the performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks in her debut fight. Ladd took home by a unanimous decision following an intense back and forth battle with the fighters, received her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds, breaking her streak to win. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her recent fight for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
